چکیده

The objective was to evaluate weed phytosociology and similarities between crop management systems in the Chapadões region. experiment conducted at agricultural area located municipality of Chapadão do Sul, MS, during 2016/17 harvest. Three managements strategies were used: (1) cotton/soybean/Urochloa, (2) millet/soybean/millet (3) millet/soybean/crotalaria. A phytosociological survey weeds carried out soybean cultivation cover crops growth, succession. evaluation for each strategy 0.5 ha. Soybean surveys October January, while performed February May. relative frequency (RF), density (RD), abundance (AR), importance (RI) weeds, Venn diagram, Jaccard Sorenson similarity indices evaluated. represented by cotton/soybean/Urochloa rotation had fewer species than others. Cenchrus echinatus, Digitaria insularis, sanguinalis, Eleusine indica Commelina benghalensis highest indeces among monocotyledons. Attention is required managing dicotyledons Amaranthus deflexus, Conyza canadensis Senna obtusifolia despite their low because herbicide resistant cases. found areas 2 3, which did not rely on cotton prior soybeans.

Individual and interactive effects of crop type and management on weed and seed bank composition in an organic rotation

We investigated the effects of organic and conventional pest and fertility management on weed cover and the seed bank community in an organic rotation. The study was conducted during the 4th and 5th years of an organic rotation on part of a long term organic-conventional comparison trial. Results showed that although crop type (potato vs. cabbage) in a single year significantly affected wee...

Weed Responses to Soil Compaction and Crop Management

Soil compaction first affects physical properties, as compaction occurs when soil particles are pressed together, reducing pore space between them and increasing the soil bulk density (Lipiec & Hatano, 2003; Raper, 2005; Reintam, 2006; Reintam et al., 2009). Soil compaction also influences chemical and biological processes, such as decreasing organic carbon (C) and N mineralization, the concent...

effects of various weed management methods and crop density on weed control and yield of chickpea (cicer arietinum l.)

to determine the optimum weed management method and plant population density on chickpea yield, a split plot experiment based on rcbd with four replications was carried out at the university of tehran research farm (located in karaj) during 2010-2011. the main factor consisted of nine treatments including: 1. trifluralin pre-plant, 2. pendimethalin pre-plant, 3. complete weeding, 4. imazethapyr...
